Engine built by staffsauto.com and balanced by Drummond Enterprises.
Engine completely custom built for boost, all side seals, apex seals, rotor bearing and main bearing clearances are set tight for
boost application. The RX8 side seals are set far too loose from factory,.005-.009 thou clearance, so Staff Auto has integrated
proprietary side seal clearance to alleviate low compression and hard starting issues.
Oil pump scavenge and pressure side modified for better pick and flow as well as having oil pressure raised to 110 psi vs 65-70 psi
stock. This helps hold rotor straight on e shaft so that the rotor does not walk damaging rotor tips, corner seals and side housings
shortening engine life. Stock oiling system ran low oil pressure to help pick up more horse power thru less friction on bearing too
shaft surfaces, this low oil pressure is a main reason why a stock RX8 engine does not farewell under boost, as well as the stock
RX8 apex seal is one third the side of Staffs Auto 3 mm seal.
Fuel injectors maintain stock primaries for nice drivability and secondary's are 680 siemens pencil injectors modified too fit stock
rail assembly. Fuel system is still factory return-less system.
